In 1971 Zoe Lucas came to Sable Island, and now she is 67 years old. Zoe only contacts the outside world once a month, but she says she’s not lonely and she doesn’t plan on leaving. The island is 42 kilometers long, and 800 meters wide, and it is home to 400 wild horse. Zoe first moved to the island to study the horses, and she just never left.
