Most of the time you find a note on your car, it’s to let you know that you parked like an asshole, owe money to the government, or that Randy’s Lawn Service will also clean out your gutters for free.
But this woman was treated to a pleasant surprise when she read the note attached to her windshield after parking overnight at an Original Joe’s restaurant in Alberta, Canada.
Paula Grzelak-Schultz shared the heartwarming message on Facebook, where it’s since gone viral.
The note reads:
“Dear Original Joe’s Sherwood Park Guest,Just wanted to thank you for leaving your car parked overnight. I’m not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not, but we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving. Enclosed is a voucher good for 1 lb. of our delicious chicken wings. Please accept this as a thank you for being responsible. Life is valuable, have a great weekend.”
Shouts to Paula for being safe and shouts to Original Joe’s for rewarding her responsible decision. We need more bars and restaurants to discourage drunk driving by not towing or ticketing customers who do the right thing. And to everyone who decides to tie one on this Halloweekend: BE LIKE PAULA!
