Just like you shouldn’t joke about having a bomb on a plane, you shouldn’t joke about having ebola either.
According to Fox News, an unidentified passenger on a plane from Philadelphia to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, yelled out that he had Ebola.
According to Dominican reporters, the passenger sneezed and yelled, “I have Ebola!”
The plane landed at Punta Cana International Airport, and the passenger was taken to the airport’s medical center.
Then, according to video taken by a passenger on the plane, this happened:
“I’ve done this for 36 years, and I think that the man who has said this is an idiot, and I’ll say that straight out,” a flight attendant says to passengers in the video.
“This is all new territory for all of us. I’m trying to keep you in the loop as best as I can.”
The passenger’s name has not been released, but Paola Rainieri, vice president of marketing and communications for Grupo Punta Cana, which owns the airport, released a statement saying the man did not test positive for Ebola.
