Located in Kársnes Harbor, Kópavogur, very close to the capital Reykjavik, Sky Lagoon is a brand new oceanfront geothermal retreat that is set to open in spring 2021.
The new lagoon promises to “enable guests to connect with mind, body and spirit through the radiant powers of geothermal waters while taking in such impressive ocean views.” Sounds fascinating, doesn’t it? Wait, there’s more. The retreat will feature a one-of-a-kind swim-up bar and on-site dining.
The lagoon is situated against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean paired with an unobstructed 70-meter (230 ft) infinity edge.

Sky Lagoon will be operated by Pursuit, a hospitality company that provides a collection of inspiring and unforgettable experiences in iconic destinations. The company is yet to announce the precise date when the lagoon will be launched.
