Tiffany Two is a 26-year-old tortoiseshell cat that lives with her human, Sharon Voorhees, in San Diego.
The Guinness World Records has a new title holder for Oldest Living Cat in the world and her name is Tiffany Two.
Voorhees says she first got in touch with Guinness World Records after her sister told her about Poppy the cat (the previous record holder).
Poppy was born in 1990, but this furry little feline is actually two years older.
Voorhees first got Tiffany Two in 1988 at a pet store for $10 when she was just 7 weeks old.
After joining the Voorhees family, she wound up outliving two dogs that were born around the same time as her.
Now, at a remarkable 26 years old, Tiffany Two still has good sight and hearing. It seems like she’s more than ready to celebrate her upcoming birthday on March 13th, at which point she will be 27 years old—in human years, that’s like being 125 years old!
Despite being the oldest living cat, the title of the oldest cat to ever live actually belongs to Creme Puff—a feline born in Austin, Texas who lived to be 38 years and 3 days old.
I was at a pet store about three months ago. A old, crippled cat lived there. His front left paw had been amputated years ago and he was blind one eye. The owner said he was born on December 28, 1984.
