Mount Etna in Italy erupted last week for the first time in 2 years. The eruption was so intense that it shot lava 1km straight up into the sky.

The Tungurahua volcano has been active since 1999, but in the past two days has become so violent that nearby villages are being evacuated.

Mount Nyiragongo is located inside Virunga National Park, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The main crater is about two km wide and usually contains a lava lake.  Here are some amazing photos of this crater.
