Once, a man gave me a ride. We talked about love, girlfriends, that kind of stuff. He said, “Listen, if you want to find out if you really want to spend the rest of your life with a girl, go on a hitchhiking trip together.” The man compared hitchhiking to life. “It is not hard to be in love when everything is alright. Just like hitchhiking, it’s very easy when the sun shines and you get rides all the time. But when it starts raining, and no one takes you, then it’s get harder. Sometimes there are factors in life that you cannot influence, just like the weather during hitchhiking. If you have, in those moments, still have the same feeling and joy, you know for sure you truly love her.”
Soon after we met, we started hitchhiking
