Police Service K-9 “Hondo” trained from puppy to 7-yrs old. The Belgian Malinois was credited with over 100 felony arrests…until the last line of duty, when a piece-of-sh*t fugitive shot the K-9 to death.
An artist named John Ward, owner of “Rawtin Garage”, paints customized motorcycles in Herriman City, Utah.
“They (Herriman Police) asked if we could get something together since we have done work on their motorcycles before.”-John Ward
“What an honor it was to paint a Hero’s casket. The passing of Herriman Police K9 HONDO, who was killed in the line of duty while assisting the U.S Marshal’s Office in apprehending a dangerous fugitive.”
Employees of Rawtin Garage had never painted a casket before…
…a mere 24-hours later, they completed the beautiful tribute to fallen Hondo.
John Ward used the photo above to paint Hondo.
Talk about a great human in what many consider to be “bad-boy” motorcyclist world.
All around the casket are little detail.
But the painting of the fallen Hero is the tear jerker.
Powerful.
