As Storm Ophelia barrels across the British Isles, a region of the world not used to any kind of inclement weather, the people of Ireland have battened down the hatches and endured some truly hellish weather. The seriousness of this and other mass weather events around the globe can’t be understated and our thoughts must always go out to those affected by such powerful natural phenomenon.
However, the Irish (always known for their sense of humor) have been treating this potentially devastating situation with their trademark levels of glee and banter. After all, if you can’t laugh you cry. Let this be a lesson in humor in the face of adversity.
