Jim Zetz is a father with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He knew that his time left on Earth was limited, but he wanted to do something incredibly special for the wife and daughter that he was leaving behind.
The story begins with the photographer, Lindsey Villatoro, who was taking pictures of Jim and his wife as part of her “forever loved” photo session. After the meeting the two she said that “the most beautiful people I’ve known are those who have known trials, have known struggles, have known loss, and have found their way out of the depths”.
After Josie mentioned that she was sad her father would miss out on so many important things in her life, Lindsey decided to help the family make something beautiful that they would remember forever.
With the help of Lindsey, the Zetz family organized a special moment for Josie and her daddy.
They decided to hold the event on Josie’s 11th birthday…
…and since Jim probably wouldn’t be around to see her real marriage, they held a special ceremony that he could be present for.
Jim held his little girl’s hand while he walked her down the aisle.
And at the altar he slipped a ring on her finger as they were declared “daddy and daughter”.
Everyone present said it was one of the most beautiful things they had ever witnessed.
No one there will ever forget the moment, and no matter what Jim and Josie will have this in their hearts forever.
Life is so fleeting and fragile, and sometimes it takes moments like this to remind us that we have to cherish those close to us for as long as we can. Share this incredible story with others below.
