Barnorama All Fun In The Barn
The result of that photo session sent Anatasia down a path of creating this nude photo series, using numerous elderly models, all over the age of 100. Anatasia named the body of work ‘Centenarians’.
Photographer Anatasia Pottinger got the idea for this series of photographs that explore the aging human body when she was approached by a 101-year-old woman who wanted to model nude for her. The only thing the woman asked of Anatasia was for her were to make sure she was not identifiable in the images.
Anatasia says the response to the images has been remarkable. Viewers are visibly moved by what they are looking at. Whether it’s wondering, “is this what I’m going to look like?” or remembering a loved one – the response seems to be universally emotional on some level.
