Collyer Brother Was Buried Underneath Trash

March 21, 1947 New York City police had to break into the home of the Collyer brothers due to complaints of a strange odor. They couldn’t get in through the door so they had to break a window. What they ended up finding was Homer Collyer, who died of starvation. Homer was paralyzed and completely dependent on his brother and he was left alone. What a sad way to go.
